RESPECT offers a range of award-winning training courses to help individuals and organisations to manage and understand behaviours of concern.

While the information detailed here provides an overview of the training we can provide, it’s important to us that our courses are right for you. That’s why our dedicated instructors will happily work with you to design a bespoke package specific to the needs of your organisation.

All of our training is delivered by specialist instructors with extensive clinical backgrounds and can be delivered at your premises, a venue of choice or at our training facilities in Grimsby. A warm North East Lincolnshire welcome awaits.

We believe that training should be interactive, engaging and fun. Here are some examples of what we can deliver for you:

  • Functional perspective of behaviours of concern
  • Practical tools to aid positive behaviour support planning
  • What’s it all about? Scenario-based situations to assess why the person is communicating in a challenging way
  • Practical, long, medium and short-term service user specific prevention strategies
  • Physical intervention and release techniques.

Once we’ve delivered our training to you, we don’t just pack up and walk away. We’re here to fully support your organisation with day-to-day advice and guidance. You’ll also have access to our National Standards Committee and we’ll keep you in touch with other organisations, so there’s plenty of networking opportunities too.

There is an annual update and re-registration fee for this level of training as well as ongoing quality assurance checks.

All of our training courses are designed for a maximum of 16 delegates.
